Sunday Worship Services
8:45 am Contemporary Service
The 8:45 am contemporary service (Turning Point), is more informal in style and includes a message, communion and singing. The relaxed environment and passionate worship team encourage people from all walks of life into a deep relationship with Jesus Christ through love.
11:00 am Traditional Service
The 11:00 am traditional service is more formal in style and includes a sermon, communion and a variety of traditional choral, organ, and piano music. The Chancel Choir is an integral part of the service, anthems are selected to support and enrich the Psalms and New Testament scriptures for each service and to further the kingdom of God through music.
When you join us on Sunday morning, you’ll find families with young children, people attending alone, and retired couples with grown children.
Please feel free to dress casually, most of our members do. If you feel more comfortable in your “Sunday best”, then please do, and you will not be alone.
Childcare, Kids Worship
Nursery care is provided for both services, if you are visiting with a young child, ask as you arrive for directions for the nursery.
Older children gather in the Worship and Wonder room (Room 2) before worship for our 8:45 service. At our 11am service, children join their parents for the beginning of worship and leave for Worship and Wonder following the Children’s Message.
Communion
Communion is served at both services each Sunday. It is a fundamental part of our worship experience an important element in what we believe as a congregation.
What We Believe
Instead of a list of doctrines, the best way to share what we believe begins at the Communion Table. We believe the Table belongs to God, not to the church or the Board or anyone else, and so all God’s children who love God and want to take part are welcome. We believe that when we gather around the Table, it is the best expression of who we are and our calling as a church: God’s children gathered as equals from all walks of life as join together seeking God’s love and grace. So we try to practice that same welcome, love and grace in our entire life as a church. It is our calling to extend the welcome of the Table into the world, and we pray that if we are given the chance to meet you, we might be able to share God’s welcome with you as well.
Sunday School
If you are interested in going a little deeper into scripture and build stronger relationships, you are welcome to attend any of our Sunday School classes, no reservations required! On Sunday morning at 10:00am Sunday School classes fill our church. We currently have 5 classes for adults and 2 classes for children and youth, but opportunities learning and growth are always emerging. Groups range from traditional lecture-style teaching, to group discussion, to video-based curriculum.
