Children’s Programming

We are committed to providing opportunities for our youngest disciples to grow and fellowship together. During worship, we have several ways to serve our children and families.

Children’s Moment – During worship, kids have a chance to come forward to hear a short message just for them! Afterwards, they are invited to leave for kids worship or remain in worship with their family.

Worship notebooks – In our narthex you’ll find a shelf of notebooks. These notebooks include pencils, crayons, coloring pages and worship activities for children of all ages. As a COVID precaution, notebooks are individualized. Visitors are invited to grab any blank notebook.

Nursery – We welcome children of all ages to be a part of our worship service but we also offer a nursery if that suits your family’s needs best. The nursery is located in room 3, just around the corner from the sanctuary. Head through the double doors and it is the first classroom on the right.

Communion – At FCC, we believe that Christ’s table is open to all who wish to receive its gifts. Children are invited to partake of communion at the discretion of parents.

Beyond worship, we have several exciting opportunities for children to grow in their faith.

Kids worship – After the children’s moment, kids are invited back for their own worship experience. During this time, they share about their lives, hear a story, and learn and play together.

Kids ChoirOn the 2nd and 4th Sundays, during our Kids Worship time, kids of all ages are invited to gather for Kids Choir. Kids Choir meets during 8:45 and 11am services and is led by our Chancel Choir Director.

Sunday SchoolWe offer two Sunday school classes for children. Sunday school takes place at 10am, between worship services. Joyful Noise – for Pre-K thru 2nd Grade – meets in room 2 and Explorers (Little Kids Exploring Big Ideas) – for Grades 3-5 -meets in room 15.

Club 3-4-5 – The first Sunday of the month, our upper elementary students (grades 3, 4, and 5) gather for fellowship and community building.

Youth Programming

We hope to offer our teens and tweens a safe space to belong, to ask questions and to explore the way God is at work in their lives and in the world around them. Our youth Sunday school class provides traditional Bible study and Christian education, while our Sunday evening CYF gatherings offer opportunities for fellowship and mission outreach. CYF (Christian Youth Fellowship) is open to Youth, grades 6-12, and meets on the second and fourth Sundays of the month.
