February is African American History Month. This is a national observance, and we are privileged to live in a state that has such a rich African American cultural tradition. This is especially true for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Read moreContinue →
We are quickly moving into our Stewardship Campaign for the 2015/2016 Budget year, which will culminate on Sunday March 22nd, Transformation Sunday. Nice people very friendly and compassion all around as well as understanding
It is such a blessing to be a part of the First Christian Church family. From singing in the Turning Point Praise band to serving others through missions, I continue to grow in my relationship with God and in relationship with God's people.
When we moved to Wilmington in 2011, we hoped to find a church where we could worship and find a church family. We found what we were looking for in First Christian Church and more. First Christian Church is a welcoming family of Christians providing all the opportunity to grow in faith while enjoying warm and supporting fellowship.
This is truly a church family - we share our love for God, belief in Jesus as our Savior and compassion for all. All are welcome no matter what.
First Christian Church is amazing! This is one of the first churches my family and I have been to that has made me feel welcome and part of a family! On top of that, I sing in the band now, and never have felt so excited to be able to worship with my brothers and sisters of God every week. I have found a very happy peace when I step into this church, there are many times I don't want to leave LOL. Overall, this church is home for my heart, and I am very thankful to have found my way home!
Love this church and the spiritual growth I have experienced here as I continue my journey.
